If you've been a Clubhouse customer for a while, you probably already know about Wood. It was our flagship formula. Thousands of men used it. It had an average rating of 4.4 out of 5 stars. And honestly? It worked really, really well.
So you might be wondering… why change it?
Trust me, I asked myself the same question. Most companies, when they've got a product with thousands of happy customers and a 4.4-star rating, wouldn't touch it. They'd leave it alone, keep selling it, and count the money.
But that's not how we do things at Clubhouse.
See, ever since I got into the supplement game, I've never stopped researching. It's the scientist in me. I can't help it. Even when something's working, I'm always asking: "Could this work better? Could we help more men? Could we get results for the guys who aren't getting results yet?"
And about a year ago, I started finding answers to those questions that I couldn't ignore.
What Wood Did Well
Let me give credit where it's due. The original Wood formula was a solid product. It worked through three main mechanisms:
First, it supported arterial health — because if your arteries aren't healthy, blood can't flow where it needs to go. We used ingredients like Vitamin K2, Pomegranate Extract and Horny Goat Weed for that.
Second, it supported nitric oxide production — which is how your body relaxes blood vessels and maximizes blood flow. L-Arginine, L-Citrulline and Beetroot Extract handled that job.
Third, it supported your venous "locks" — the valves in your blood vessels that help maintain firm performance. Horse Chestnut Extract was our go-to for that.
For a lot of men, that combination was all they needed. The reviews spoke for themselves. Guys were performing better, feeling more confident, and satisfying their partners in ways they hadn't in years.
But here's the thing…
Why "Good" Wasn't Good Enough
A 4.4-star average is great. But it also means some men weren't getting the full results they wanted. And that bothered me.
So I started digging into the research, trying to figure out what was going on with the men who weren't responding as well. And I found two major gaps in the original formula.
Gap #1: We were supporting arterial health, but we weren't actively supporting the body's ability to clear the arteries.
There's a big difference between supporting healthy arteries and actually supporting the body's natural processes for clearing buildup inside them. Think of it like this — the original Wood formula was like maintaining a road. Wood Max is like maintaining the road AND clearing out the traffic jam that's already blocking it.
Many men, especially over 30, develop arterial buildup they don't even know about. It may not be enough to cause serious health events, but it can be enough to reduce blood flow to the point where bedroom performance suffers. The original Wood supported arterial health, but it didn't include ingredients specifically researched for their role in supporting the body's natural plaque-clearing processes.
Wood Max does.
We added Nattokinase — a powerful enzyme derived from a traditional Japanese food called Natto. A 2017 study at the Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University examined Nattokinase supplementation and found promising results for supporting healthy arterial function.
We also added Serrapeptase, which supports the body's natural inflammatory response and helps maintain healthy circulation. And we included Niacinamide and Berberine, both of which have been studied for their role in supporting healthy blood lipid levels — a key factor in arterial health.
Combined with the Vitamin K2 MK7 that was already in the original Wood — which supports healthy calcium distribution in the body, directing it to the bones rather than the arteries — you've now got a formula that doesn't just maintain arterial health. It actively supports the body's natural ability to keep arteries clear and functioning optimally.
Gap #2: We weren't addressing hormonal health.
This was the big one. The original Wood was entirely focused on the "plumbing" — blood flow, arteries, and venous locks. And for younger men with healthy testosterone levels, that was often enough.
But here's the reality: starting around age 30, most men's testosterone levels begin to naturally decline. About 1% per year. At the same time, estrogen levels tend to creep up. This hormonal shift doesn't just affect your drive — it can directly affect your performance in the bedroom.
The original Wood didn't address this at all. Which meant that for men over 30 whose performance concerns were partly hormonal, Wood was only supporting half the picture.
Wood Max changes that. We added TongKat Ali — a 100:1 extract — which is one of the most well-researched natural compounds for supporting healthy testosterone levels. A 2012 study by Tambi et al. found that TongKat Ali supplementation supported healthy testosterone levels in 76 men, with participants reporting improvements in drive and performance. We also included Tribulus Terrestris, which a 2016 study showed may support healthy testosterone levels and male sexual function.
Now the formula supports the hormonal side of the equation too. Not just the plumbing.
We Also Upgraded the Vasodilation Approach
Beyond filling those two gaps, we also improved how Wood Max supports vasodilation and nitric oxide production.
The original Wood used L-Arginine, L-Citrulline, and Beetroot Extract. They worked. But we found a combination that we believe may be even more effective.

Wood Max now includes Saffron Extract, which a 2018 study by Saghooni et al. found may support healthy erectile function, with participants reporting improvements in satisfaction. We paired Arginine with Pycnogenol (Pine Bark Extract) — a combination that a 2023 study by Yuting Tian found promising for supporting male sexual function. We added Acetyl L-Carnitine, which a 2012 study by D. Gianfrilli found may support healthy erectile response in a majority of male participants. And we included Nicotinic Acid, which supports healthy blood vessel function.
We also added Lysine, which supports healthy testosterone levels and works synergistically with Arginine in the body.
The One Thing We Didn't Change
Horse Chestnut Extract is still in the formula, doing exactly what it did before — supporting the venous "locks" that help maintain firm performance. That part of the original Wood worked perfectly, so we kept it.
So What Does This Mean For You?
Put simply: Wood Max supports your performance from more angles than Wood ever did.
The original Wood supported arterial health, blood flow, and venous locks. Three mechanisms. Seven ingredients. And it worked well for a lot of men.
Wood Max supports arterial health AND the body's natural plaque-clearing processes, enhances vasodilation and nitric oxide production through more advanced pathways, supports healthy testosterone levels and hormonal balance, AND maintains those venous locks. Four mechanisms. Thirteen ingredients. Designed to support even more men, across a wider range of ages and situations.
If Wood worked well for you, Wood Max may work even better. And if Wood didn't quite get you the results you were hoping for, Wood Max addresses the gaps that were most likely the missing piece.
Why I Couldn't Just Leave It Alone
Look, I know what you might be thinking. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." And I get that. Wood had thousands of happy customers and a 4.4-star rating. By any normal standard, that's a success.
But Clubhouse isn't a normal supplement company. We don't just want to sell you something that's "good enough." We're constantly researching, constantly testing, constantly trying to find ways to help our customers get better results.
When I found the research on Nattokinase and arterial health, and when I saw the studies on TongKat Ali and free testosterone, I knew we could make Wood significantly better. And once I knew that, I couldn't in good conscience keep selling the old version.
That's not how I operate. And it's not how Clubhouse operates.
Wood Max is the formula I wish I'd had when I first launched Wood. It's more comprehensive, it supports more of the underlying factors that affect male performance, and I genuinely believe it's going to help more men get the results they're looking for.
Give it a try. And as always, it's backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If it doesn't deliver the results you're looking for, you get every penny back. No questions asked.
Your surrogate Big Brother,
Stirling Cooper
