Read carefully if you watch porn more than once a month…
Whenever a guy comes to me with ANY problem in the bedroom…
The first thing I always tell them is to stop choking their chicken.
Stop jerking off to porn.
Why?
Because porn triggers a MASSIVE dopamine response in your brain.
Over time you are going to fry your dopamine receptors and this will lead to low motivation, reduced sex drive, and you’ll even start to lose interest in real women.
… Sounds like a path to loneliness and loserdom if you ask me.
Now going cold turkey rarely works…
So let’s go over 6 easy steps you can use that are guaranteed to make you break the habit:
Step #1: Identify your triggers
What triggers your urge to watch porn?
Some guys feel the urge during bouts of loneliness / sadness / boredom, use it to slack off, when they drink too much, or when they see a chick in a bikini while scrolling IG.
You need to identify the trigger before you can fix it.
Step #2: Create a pattern interrupt
This will allow you to quickly replace the porn habit.
Whenever you feel the urge, immediately interrupt it with another behavior.
Step #3: Replace the habit
This is the positive behavior you use to interrupt the habit.
It could be dropping down to do 50 pushups, reading a book, going for a walk, or calling up a friend and having a meaningful conversation.
You might need to experiment to find out what behavior is more effective for you.
But bro, I can tell you if you do 50 pushups every time you feel the urge, or 100 sit ups, you’re gonna get JACKED!
Step #4: Make porn hard to access
This is the easiest thing on this list.
Install some kind of parental lock software on your devices and put a crazy random password you can’t remember behind every website you use to watch porn.
And if you know what triggers the urge… for example if it’s something you do before bed, then don’t sleep with your phone or laptop near you.
Step #5: Cut out cheap dopamine
Things like scrolling social media mindlessly, sugar, alcohol, and porn are all part of the same problem.
You are training yourself to always reach for that quick hit of dopamine.
Dopamine should be EARNED.
So by quitting other instant gratification habits you will create a positive feedback loop of delayed gratification that will make it easier to quit porn as well.
Step #6: Cultivate delayed gratification
You need to get used to delayed gratification.
Keep yourself busy with positive habits like eating well, sleeping well, hitting the gym, building a business. Any habit that pushes your life in a positive direction.
This will create a positive feedback loop in your life and resets your dopamine receptors.
And that’s all.
Follow these 6 steps and let me know how it goes!
