2. Meditation
Our mental state will manifest itself through our body.
Meditating for just 10 minutes a day will reduce cortisol (stress hormone) in our bodies.
And cortisol shrinks blood vessels.
That’s why when we’re extremely anxious we get cold easily, especially our fingers.
Reduce cortisol to boost blood flow.
3. Breathing techniques
An alternative to meditation.
Most people go about their day with very shallow breaths.
Quick and shallow breaths signal to the body a stressful situation, and this increases cortisol.
Breathe slowly and fill your blood with oxygen.
One technique is box breathing.
(breathe in for 7 seconds, hold for 7 seconds, and breath out for 7 seconds. Also, try to only expand your stomach only when you breathe)
Do 5-6 of these a day.
